Three South Tyrolean victories at the national youth tournament in St. Georgen

The U10 even came to a South Tyrolean final, which Panin narrowly won against Anna Katharina Palla from Kaltern 6:7, 6:3, 9:7. In the quarterfinals, Panin knocked the U10 national champion Nadine Vinatzer from TC Ladinia out of the competition 6:2, 6:2. In the twelve-year-old category, the top-seeded 3.5 player Anna Santa, who also took part in the European Tennis Junior Cup in Brixen this week, lived up to her role as favorite and defeated Giulia Dolce (3.5) 6:4, 6:3 in the final. Santa didn't drop a set in the entire tournament. Vickie Trocker also reached the final of the U14s without losing a set. In the semifinals, Trocker eliminated top seed Carlotta Boggian (3.4) 6:3, 6:1, but in the final she had to fight hard against Milan's Flavia Baldelli (3.4) before losing 2:6, 6:3, 6: 3 was able to keep the upper hand. Only in the U16 category was a non-South Tyrolean, Alessandra Gallus (3.3) from Sardinia, able to hold her own. In the final, Gallus defeated Matilde Ronchi (3.5) 6:2, 6:3. Serena Poppa from TC Rungg, who won the Raiffeisen tournament in Montan this year, was eliminated in the quarterfinals against Ronchi. For the boys, however, the players from Lombardy dominated, securing three of the four titles. In the U10 category, Matteo Ceradelli won the final against Adriano Barbaro 6:1, 6:4, in the U14 and U16 age groups Alberto Giuliani (6:4, 6:4 in the final against Francesco Festini Mira) and Federico Lucini (6: 4,3:6, 6:3 against Alberto Borroni). In the 12-year-olds, however, the tournament victory went to Tommaso Lippolis (4.1) from Liguria, who defeated Silvio Mencaglia (4.2) 7:6, 6:1 in the final.
