A Romanian triumphs at the ITF tournament in Val Gardena

Laura-Iona Andrei won the $10.000 ITF tournament in Val Gardena. The 28-year-old Romanian retained the upper hand in the final against third-seeded Italian Deborah Chiesa 6:2, 6:7(5), 6:4. Andrei also won the doubles, alongside the German Sarah-Rebecca Sekulic. It was Andrei's second tournament victory in 2016, after she also achieved the “double” in Cordenons last week.
