FIT-Babolat: Four titles remain in South Tyrol

Mario Viertler was able to celebrate a great success. The tennis player from TC Meran won the U-16 category, putting on a brilliant performance in the final against Adele Burato and winning 6:2, 6:2. In the boys final, Alberto Martellato won against Ivan Martinelli (7:5, 6:2). In the U-14 class, Vickie Trocker, another athlete from the local tennis community, also prevailed. The Völser, who plays for TC Rungg, mastered her semi-final task against Alice Benvegnu (6:2, 6:3) confidently and also gave Martina Muzzolon no chance in the final (6:3, 6:4). Among the boys, Jonas Greif from TC Kaltern, a South Tyrolean, also made it to the final. There Greif lost against Simone Veccari 1:6, 5:7. Meanwhile, Lara Pfeifer showed her strength in the U-12 category and, after an exhausting semi-final (5:7, 7:6, 6:1 against Samira Peverato), beat Sveva Bernardi in the final 6:4, 6:1 confident victory. Jonas Masten from TC Meran triumphed in the U-10 boys.

FIT-Babolat: Four titles remain in South Tyrol

The FIT Babolat youth tournament was held in Brixen last week. A total of 228 young tennis players in the U-10, U-12, U-14 and U-16 categories fought for the various titles. In the end, a South Tyrolean was able to climb onto the highest podium four times.
