“The joy of playing is still there”: Seppi provides insights

The defeats in the last few weeks have always had the same pattern for Andreas Seppi. He felt like he played better than the opponent, but lost. That was also the case on Monday in Winston-Salem. After the 4:6, 4:6 defeat against Ilja Iwaschka from Belarus, the 37-year-old from Kalter told s+ in an interview how he was feeling physically and how he was feeling before the 65th Grand Slam tournament in a row in New York feels he wants to finish this season and then decide his future.

“The joy of playing is undoubtedly always there. It's become a little more difficult to travel around in the last few years, not just because of Covid, I also have a family now," said Seppi, among other things.
