The next tournament is already beginning for Seppi

A few days after his First round exit at the Challenger in Nottingham against Zhizhen Zhang, the next grass tournament is already on the program for Andreas Seppi. The 37-year-old from Kaltern will be competing in the qualification for the ATP 250 tournament in Eastbourne from Saturday. At the start, Seppi meets the American Christian Harrison, number 286 in the world. Seppi feels particularly comfortable in England, as he has already won once in Eastbourne. In 2011, the South Tyrolean won the final against the Serbian Janko Tipsarevic and celebrated one of his three ATP titles here. The “Azzurro” also made it to the final a year later (losing to Andy Roddick), and made it to the semi-finals three more times. Seppi is taking part in the grass tournament in England for the eleventh time. In his last appearance three years ago, he was eliminated in round 1 against the Uzbek Denis Istomin. Seppi against Harrison has never happened on the ATP tour. The world number 91. from Kaltern is the clear favorite against the 11-year-old US boy in the fourth game tomorrow after 27 a.m. local time, after all Seppi is 195 places ahead of him in the ranking. Harrison is increasingly playing Challenger and ITF tournaments, but this year he reached the semi-finals as a qualifier in his season debut at the ATP 250 tournament in Delray Beach.
