Futures Bozen: Alexander Weis continues to advance - UPDATE

Weis, who had already played very solidly in qualifying, continued his high form in the first round of the main draw. In the first set he took the serve from the wild card player Ramazzotti in the third game, then presented himself solidly in his own service and won 6:4. The same game in the second section, as Weis also took advantage of the break opportunity in the third game to make it 2-1. When the score was 4:3, the man from Bolzano had his serve taken away, but got it back in the following game and thus closed this set with 6:4. After an hour and 35 minutes, Weis' move into the second round was perfect. A mammoth task awaits Weis there on Wednesday: In his second main draw match, he will face the top seed Jose Hernandez-Fernandez in the second game after 10.30 a.m., who in turn beat Brixen wild card player Joy Vigani in the first round competition.

Manfred Fellin without a chance – Weis narrowly failed in the doubles The second South Tyrolean qualifier in the group, namely Manfred Fellin, was also challenged in the first individual round of the main field on Tuesday.
