Gerstgrasser and Rizzolli win in Schlanders

In the men's singles, Gerstgrasser lived up to his role as favorite. In the quarterfinals, the Partschinser knocked Matthias Kobler from ATC Prad out of the competition 6:2, 6:4, then in the semifinals he also clearly defeated Mattia Padovani from Bolzano 6:3, 6:2. In the final, the 3.1 player from ASV Partschins also had the upper hand against Padovani's teammate Daniel Tavernini 6:2, 6:1. The man from Bolzano had previously eliminated Daniel Huber from Naturns, who was number 2.

In the women's race, however, Sara Rizzolli, who was seeded number 3 in Silandro, won. The 3.3 player from TC Rungg prevailed in the final against Judith Rainalter from Mals after falling behind with a set score of 3:6, 6:3, 6:3. Already in the semi-final she shot away host Karin Viertler 6:0, 6:4, while Rainalter easily defeated host Katja Lochmann 6:0, 6:3.

A 4th category tournament was also held in Silandro. The women's victory went to Cristina De Rinaldis from TC Meran, who defeated local hero Romana Pöhli 7:6, 6:1 in the final. In the men's final, Hanspeter Prieth from ATC Prad beat Roland Eisendle from ATC Schlanders 6:4, 6:4.
