Hofer missed his third tournament victory on the ITF tour

Verena Hofer was in action alongside her compatriot Francesca Sella in the final of the $15.000 ITF tournament in Sharm El Sheikh (Egypt) on Saturday evening. The 19-year-old from Val Gardena, who has always won her two doubles finals so far, had to admit defeat to the Indian-Russian duo Kanika Vaidya/Angelina Zhuravleva in two sets 1:26, 5:7 after 4:6 hours of play.
