Hopman Cup: Seppi has to give up, Italy loses to Poland

Italy started the 2014 Hyundai Hopman Cup with a defeat. The “Azzurri” lost the opening match of this unofficial mixed world championship against Poland with a score of 0-3. Andreas Seppi from Kaltern, weakened by a bout of flu, had to give up against Grzegorz Panfil in the second set when he was behind 4:6, 2:2. Afterwards he was no longer able to compete in doubles. On the night of Monday to Tuesday, Italy will play against hosts Australia.
