Hopman Cup: Seppi loses final duel against Canada

After Seppi had to withdraw from the opener against Poland due to flu, this time his partner was hit. Pennetta gave up the match against Eugenie Bouchard at 0:4 due to wrist pain.

Seppi then had to play against Milos Raonic. However, the Kalterer had almost no chance against the Canadian and lost 2:6 and 4:6. The defeat against the North Americans was thus sealed.

In the final doubles, Australian Bojana Bobusic stood in for Pennetta. In the duo with Seppi, however, she clearly had to admit defeat to Bouchard/Raonic with 1:6 and 4:6.

After the 0:3 against Poland and the 2:1 win against Australia, Seppi and Pennetta no longer had a chance of making it into the finals before the last duel against Canada. Seppi will now travel to Sydney, where he will put the finishing touches to the Australian Open at the ATP tournament.

Hopman Cup: Seppi loses final duel against Canada

The Italian duo of Andreas Seppi and Flavia Penetta ended the 2014 Hopman Cup in Perth with a defeat. The Azzurri lost 0-3 to Canada, with injuries once again playing a role.
