The Berger duo triumphs in Niederdorf

Tamara Berger from ATC Bruneck secured the title in Niederdorf in 2017. The 17-year-old from Gais, number 1 on the seed list, easily eliminated her teammate Waltraud Kirchler 6:1, 6:2 in the semifinals, and in the final she also defeated Iris Villgratter from ASC St. Georgen in three sets 6:7 , 6:3, 6:2. Villgratter benefited from Chiara Sabbadini's surrender in the semi-finals, against whom she was behind 5:7, 2:1.

The men's victory went to 19-year-old Thomas Berger from ASC St. Georgen. The Pusterer, who was seeded number 2 in Niederdorf, only played eleven games in the entire tournament. After the 6:3, 6:0 quarter-final win against Franz Mair, he defeated Lorenzo Mantovani from TC Cortina 6:2, 6:3 in the semi-final. Berger also had no problems in the final against Benjamin Harrasser (3.3) from ASV St. Lorenzen and clearly won in two sets 6:1, 6:2.

Happacher and Mairhofer win the 4th category tournament There was a big surprise in the men's 4th category tournament. The 4.2 player Fabian Happacher from ATC Innichen defeated his teammate Christian Wisthaler in two sets 6:3, 6:4. In the women's final, Kathrin Mairhofer from ASV Taufers benefited from Nicole Gasser's cancellation.
