Internazionali d'Italia: Hofer has no chance against Spiteri

On Saturday, the first round of pre-qualification for the “Internazionali d'Italia”, which will take place in Rome from May 14th to 21st, was held at the Foro Italico. The only participating South Tyrolean, Verena Hofer, had to admit defeat to the Italian Dalila Spiteri (WTA 705) in two sets 3:6, 1:6 after an hour of play.
