Italian Championships 2nd category: Prader beats them all

Three years after Prader won the Italian championship title once - back in Bolzano, by the way - the Eisacktaler struck again last week. At the gates of Verona, the 2.2 player secured the tournament, in which a total of 162 players from all over Italy took part.

Prader, who was seeded third in the main draw, beat Francesco Borgo, the number nine seed, in the final. Borgo had eliminated top seed Marco Crugnola in the semifinals. Prader shone throughout the tournament as he didn't drop a single set. In addition to a trophy, Prader was pleased to receive a winner's check worth 1225 euros. In addition to Prader, several other South Tyrolean tennis players were also in action, but they were eliminated earlier. Georg Winkler failed in the quarter-finals.

Italian Championships 2nd category: Prader beats them all

The tennis player from Barbian completely dominated the Italian Championships of the 2nd category in Sommacampagna last week. Prader didn't give up a single set and prevailed in the final 6:4, 6:1 against Francesco Borgo (2.3).
