ITF Bergamo: Hofer and Meliss eliminated

Verena Hofer from Val Gardena and Verena Meliss from Kaltern were eliminated in the first round of the $15.000 ITF tournament in Bergamo. Hofer had to admit defeat to the “Azzurra” Alberta Brianti (WTA 485) in two sets with 0:6, 3:6, while Meliss lost to the Pole Iga Swiatek (WTA 835) with 1:6, 1:6.
