ITF Hammamet: Strong Verena Hofer in the semi-finals

The 19-year-old Verena Hofer from Val Gardena surprises again: On Friday she won the quarterfinals of the $15.000 ITF tournament in Hammamet (Tunisia) against the Frenchwoman Caroline Romeo, number 5 on the seed list, in two sets 7:5, 7:5 and is back in the semi-finals for the first time in nine months.
