ITF Rome: Karin Knapp in the round of 16

Karin Knapp has reached the second round of the ITF clay court tournament in Rome Antico Tiro a Volo, which comes with $50.000 in prize money. The 23-year-old from Ahrntal, who only made it into the main draw through qualification, defeated fifth-seeded Italian Corinna Dentoni, number 146 in the WTA world rankings, in two sets 6:3, 6:3.
