ITF Santa Margherita di Pula: Hofer and Meliss successful

The two South Tyroleans Verena Hofer and Verena Meliss celebrated three victories at the 10.000 tournament in Sardinia on Tuesday. In the singles, Hofer eliminated number 4 seed Alice Savoretti, who had to give up when the score was 6:7(4), 6:2, 3:1 for the Val Gardena native, and then won the doubles with Martina Pratesi. Meliss and Federica Prati also prevailed in their first round doubles match against Lagoda/Svatikova 6:4, 6:3.
