ITF Santa Margherita di Pula: Verena Hofer missed out on the final

The 17-year-old from Ortisei missed out on a place in the final of the $10.000 tournament in Santa Margherita di Pula on Saturday. Hofer had to admit defeat to Georgia Brescia, number 754 in the WTA world rankings, in two sets 4:6, 3:6 in Sardinia. In the afternoon, the Val Gardena native can take revenge for this defeat because she is also in the double final with Martina Pratesi. There the two “Azzurre” meet the Belgian duo Marie Benoit/Kimberley Zimmermann.
