ITF Tabarka: Alexander Weis loses final

For Weis it was the first ITF singles final in his career. The South Tyrolean celebrated 6 victories in Tunisia this week. After qualifying, the man from Bolzano eliminated the number 2 seeded Swiss Jakub Paul, Simone Roncalli (ITA), his Argentinian doubles partner Nicolas Alberto Arreche and yesterday the Tunisian Aziz Dougaz. On Sunday, Weis met Argentine young hopeful Sebastian Baez in the final. The 18-year-old South American was number 2018 in the ITF junior rankings in March 1 and had only lost one set in the tournament so far.

Baez dominated the first set and promptly moved ahead to 1-2 with two breaks. In the 3th game, the Argentinian Weis again took the serve to take the lead 0:7 and immediately afterwards converted his first set point to make it 5:2.
