ITF tour: Hofer continues in Tunisia, Meliss is eliminated in Solarino

Two young South Tyrolean women were in action on the ITF tour on Wednesday. While Verena Hofer from Val Gardena beat Frenchwoman Jennifer Zerbone in the first round of the $10.000 tournament in El Kantaoui in Tunisia, Verena Meliss from Kaltern, suffering from a strained abdominal muscle, was eliminated against Jessica Pieri in Solarino on Sicily.
