Karin Knapp begins her Asian tour with a doubles victory

The Asian tour for the 27-year-old from Ahrntal began with a victory on Monday. In the first round of the WTA tournament in Tashkent, Knapp and her Romanian partner Irina-Camelia Begu defeated the number four seeded duo Olga Goworzowa/Klaudia Jans-Ignacik (Belarus/Poland) 69:6, 3 in just 6 minutes :4 and moved into the quarterfinals.
