Karin Knapp takes 64th tournament victory for an “Azzurra”

As of this Saturday, tennis players from the Italian association had celebrated 63 WTA tournament victories. Thanks to her triumph in Tashkent, Karin Knapp was the first South Tyrolean to join this long list. The most successful player remains Sandra Cecchini with 12 tournament wins, which she achieved between 1984 and 1992. She is followed by Flavia Pennetta (10 successes), Roberta Vinci (9), Sara Errani (7) and Francesca Schiavone (6).
