Karin Knapp has to miss the Australian Open

Andreas Seppi from Kaltern will be the only South Tyrolean participant at the Australian Open next week, as Karin Knapp had to be removed from the entry list for the first Grand Slam tournament of the season today. The 28-year-old from Ahrntal, currently number 51 in the WTA world rankings, has not yet recovered from her right knee injury and therefore has to forego a start in Melbourne.
