At the high-ranking hard court tournament in Montreal ($2.440.070 in prize money), Karin Knapp made it into the main draw on Sunday. After the opening win against the Czech Andrea Hlavackova, Knapp defeated the Portuguese Michelle Larcher de Brito (WTA 107) in two sets on Sunday.
