Markus Sanoll and Bettina Paoli win in Branzoll

The favorites showed no weakness in Branzoll and, as expected, made it to the final. In the men's category, number one seed Aliosha Bona from Bolzano (3.1) and Markus Sanoll (3.1/TC Kaltern) dueled for tournament victory. They had previously lost out to Claudio Del Pin and Giacomo Cervia respectively. In the final, Sanoll finally prevailed in the third set 6:2, 4:6, 6:2.

In the women's final there was a duel between the U18 players Bettina Paoli from TC Bozen and Serena Poppa, who progressed to the semi-finals without a fight against top favorite Luianta Moling. Paoli won after a strange match in three periods with 0:6, 6:0, 6:3.

Tavernini and Stürz win the 4th category tournament However, there was a little surprise in the tournament in the 4th category for men. U16 player Daniel Tavernini (4.2) first gave number 1 seed Florian Gschnell no chance in the semifinals with 6:3, 6:1 and then defeated Maurizio Barresi in two sets in the final with 6:2, 6:4. Sabine Stürz won the women’s event. The number 1 seed from Paulsen narrowly defeated Anna Costaperaria (4.2) 4:6, 6:4, 7:6.
