Masters 1000 Toronto: Andreas Seppi starts with a win
Andreas Seppi started the Masters 1000 tournament in Toronto ($3.146.920 in prize money) with a victory on Tuesday. The 30-year-old from Kaltern prevailed in the first round against the Canadian qualifier Bryaden Schnur, number 612 in the world, who is eleven years younger than him, 1:11, 6:3 in 6:3 hours of play. For Seppi it is a “historic” victory because it is his first success in Toronto, in his third participation.
