“Memorial Pellegrini” goes to Patric Prinoth and Elisa Visentin

Winning an important tournament like this is always nice. Now I'm concentrating on the Serie C championship and I'm confidently heading to Veneto where I'll take part in an open tournament."

Prinoth eliminated Horst Rieder (TC Rungg/2.5) in two sets 6:4, 6:4 in the quarter-finals and another TC Rungg player, Georg Winkler, in the semi-finals, who had to give up when the score was 0:3. Trocker, however, first clearly defeated number 2 seed Michael Kerschbaumer (2.4) from Val Gardena with 6:0, 6:1 and in the semi-finals Lorenzo Schmid from ASD Levico with 6:2, 6:4.

The women's open tournament went to 18-year-old Elisa Visentin from Trento, who defeated Viola Cioffi 6:1, 6:2 in the final. Visentin, who was ranked number 1 in Bolzano, is one of Italy's great young hopes. In the semifinals she eliminated Alexandra Dergunova (2.6). For the tennis player from Mezzolombardo it was the second title after her victory three years ago. In 2015 and 2016 she failed twice in the final.

Alessio Filippi from TC Druso triumphed in the 4th men's category. In the final he defeated the top favorite Ugo La Guercia 6:3, 7:5. In the women's race, victory went to the host club CT Ussa. The 12-year-old Anna Costaperaria, one of the greatest talents in South Tyrol, beat Sabine Stürz (4.1) from Paulsner in three sets after being 2:6, 2:5 behind with 2:6, 7:5, 6 :1 through.
