Morandell and Liebl win in Tramin

For Morandell it was the second success in Tramin. He had already won here 5 years ago. In the final he defeated the young Christian Fellin from Brixen in three sets 6:1, 3:6, 6:2. He had previously eliminated the two Runggers Hannes Spitaler and Natahan Avanzini. Fellin, however, prevailed in the quarter-finals against Davide Mongelli from Bolzano and defeated local hero Anton Anderlan in the semi-finals.

The women's title went to Manuela Liebl from Lana. In the final she clearly defeated Karin Viertler from Vinschger with 6:2, 6:1. In the quarterfinals, Liebl was lucky when she won twice in tiebreaks against Sara Rizzolli. In the first set, Rizzolli missed four set points, and in the second she gave up a 5-1 lead in the tiebreak. Viertler, however, narrowly eliminated the top seeded Julia Peer from TC Rungg in the semifinals 3:6, 6:3, 7:6(3).
