The three-time Grand Slam winner Andy Murray (32) also failed at the opening hurdle in his second appearance in tennis singles after hip surgery. In Winston-Salem/North Carolina, the Brit had to admit defeat to US local hero Tennys Sandgren 2:10 (6:7), 8:10 after 5:7 hours.
