Palumbo and Pampaloni win in Deutschnofen

The victory in the men's tournament went to Massimiliano Palumbo from ASV Lana, who staged a great comeback in the final against Fabio Campidonico (both 3.1) and ultimately retained the upper hand with 3:6, 6:2 and 6:4. In addition to the two finalists, Matys Goller (4.3) also caused a stir: The ex-footballer and former tennis talent hasn't played in a tournament since he was a child, but made it to the quarter-finals straight away. There it was the end against Filippo Orrù (3.1).

Meanwhile, among the women, the big favorite, Linda Bortolameolli (3.1), had to admit defeat to the 17-year-old Tuscan Maddalina Pampaloni after a thrilling duel 6:3, 3:6 and 1:6.

The tournament victories in the 4th category went to Anton Anderlan (4.1) and, somewhat surprisingly, to Claudia Riccardi (4.4). Both won their finals in straight sets.
