Patrick Prader celebrates comeback with victory in Meran

Former professional Patrick Prader had to undergo surgery and take a long break last year because of his elbow injury. Although the 31-year-old from Barbian played in the preliminary qualification for the Internazionali d'Italia in Ortisei in March and a few Bundesliga games in Austria, he only celebrated his comeback last Saturday in Meran, where he played in the semi-finals with Stand From his point of view, 3:6, 6:1, 1:1 benefited from the abandonment of the 2.6 player Lorenzo Foresti. The women's tournament in Meran went to Magdalena Santer from TC Gemeinde Bozen. The number 4 seed from Lanan defeated Vera Ploner 6:2, 6:1 in the South Tyrolean final. The Pusterian, who eliminated Marion Viertler in three sets in the semi-finals, returned to South Tyrol for the summer holidays after studying in the USA.

The 4th men's category was also held in Meran. There, after victories over Stefano Piran (6:1, 6:1 in the quarter-finals) and Herbert Chistè (2:6, 6:3, 6:1 in the semi-finals), Oliver Moser prevailed in the final against Alessandro Ercolani, who was only 16 years old from Meran, with 6 :0, 6:0 and won the title.
