Patrick Prader also wins in Kaltern

The 31-year-old Prader, who celebrated his comeback in the Passerstadt last week after a long injury break, defeated Lukas Holzner from TC Meran 6:2, 6:2 in the final. Prader had previously dispatched the 2.6 player from Ata Battisti Trento, Mattia Bernardi 6:2, 6:3 in the quarterfinals and the Milan 2.5 player Manuel Massimino 6:0, 6:2 in the semifinals. Holzner, on the other hand, eliminated the 2.8 Enrico Giacomini from Vicenza 6:4, 6:2 and benefited from the resignation of Sasha Rampazzo from Trento in the semi-finals with a score of 7:5. This week Prader is competing in the highest-paying open tournament of the summer in South Tyrol (3500 euros in prize money) on the sand courts of the TC Gemeinde Bozen.

Elisa Crazzolara, who plays for Brixen, won the women's competition in Kaltern. In the final, the 25-year-old from Val Badia narrowly beat Caterina Odorizzi from Trentino 6:4, 7:5. Crazzolara had previously eliminated Waltraud Kirchler from Puster. The 49-year-old from TC Bruneck won the 3rd category tournament. In the final she defeated Serena Poppa in three sets 4:6, 6:1, 6:4. In the men's category, Florian Morandell celebrated a home win in Kalter against Alessandro Gambato from Bolzano.

Everyone in Kaltern is now preparing for the 50th anniversary of the tennis club. Andreas Seppi will also play in Altenburg on August 12th.
