Jannik Sinner is athlete of the year: “Thank you, South Tyrol!”

There has never been such a meteoric rise as Jannik Sinner's in South Tyrolean sports history. At the age of 20, the Sesto native is already one of the best tennis players in the world and is considered a superstar of the next few years. Nevertheless, Sinner knows where his roots lie. Just a few days ago, for example, he attended an amateur league game at his hometown club Sexten. It is also these scenes that make him so likeable in South Tyrol. So it's no wonder that the huge talent was voted athlete of the year by the Dolomiten and SportNews readers. We paid Sinner a visit and had a detailed conversation with him.
