Raiffeisen ITF Val Gardena: Hofer reaches the quarter-finals in doubles

Hofer/Bronzetti won the match against Chiara De Vito/Sofia Ragona 6:3, 6:2 and will now face the number three seeded Swiss duo Chiara Grimm/Leonie Kung in the quarterfinals. However, the Pusterians Silvia Saccani/Jeannine Hopfgartner, who had to admit defeat in the super tiebreak against the Italians Chiara Giaquinta/Alessia Piran 2:6, 6:2, 6:10, were eliminated.

Top seeded Italian Claudia Giovine eliminated Saccani was also in action in the singles on Tuesday. The 17-year-old wild card player from Gais had a difficult time in her first round match against the Swiss Nina Stadler and was clearly eliminated 1:6, 1:6.
