Rungg can continue to dream of the top league

The first round with direct elimination was played in Serie A2 on Sunday. In the away game against AMP Pavia, Rungg was already leading 3-1 after the individual matches. The German Elmar Eujpovic and the two young talents Sebastian Brzezinski and Moritz Trocker scored the points for the Überetscher. The Rungger ladies are just one step away from the A1. Today they defeated TC Bari with 3-0 points, despite having to do without the injured Paula Ormaechea. Susan Bandecchi and Verena Meliss from Kaltern beat Marie Benoit from Belgium (WTA 295) and Eleonora Alvisi (2.2) in two sets, while Martina Spigarelli needed three sets against Natasha Piludu. In the final for promotion to Serie A1, Rungg will face Canottieri Casale in a two-legged tie on December 1st and 8th.
