Rungger promotion double: women and men play in Serie B!

The women of TC Rungg showed their class in Sicily against CUS Catania and lived up to their role as favorites. After Sophie Walzl's opening defeat against Ginevra Chiara with 3:6, 2:6, Susan Bandecchi and Verena Meliss from Kaltern left no stone unturned against Alice Viglianisi and Giulia Paternò respectively and won their matches without any problems. In the doubles, both made the decision. Bandecchi/Meliss clearly prevailed against Viglianisi/Paternò in two sets with 6:3, 6:2 and thus made promotion to Serie B perfect.

Rungger gentlemen bring Livorno to their knees

The TC Rungg men's team also had reason to celebrate. The Überetschers shot Livorno away 4-1 in the second, decisive round. The three individual victories by Horst Rieder, Moritz Trocker and Manuel Bernard were crucial. Only Georg Winkler lost his match against Gregorio Lulli 6:7, 3:6. In doubles, Moritz Trocker and Massimo Bertolini closed the bag. They got the decisive point against Lulli/Lepri to make the final score 4-1. The game Horst Rieder/Manuel Gasbarri against Leonardo Cocchella/Andrea Di Meo was interrupted when the score was 6:7, 6:4, 3:2, as Rungg had already been promoted to Serie B.

Rungger promotion double: women and men play in Serie B!

TC Rungg achieved promotion to Serie B for both women and men. On Sunday, the Überetscher women clearly won 3-1 away in Catania in the second, decisive play-off round of Serie C, while the men's team won 4-1 in Livorno.
