Rungger ladies are Serie C regional champions

The wrestlers clearly won 3-0 and only played a total of 11 games in the three individual matches. In the top match of the day, Susan Bandecchi defeated 2.5 player Sara Eccel 6:1, 6:3. Rungg and Meran dominate the youth national championships South Tyrol's best young tennis players determined their national champions in Meran this week. The U10 to U16 year olds competed against each other in twelve categories, with Rungg winning four titles and Meran winning three.

TC Rungg won the U13 age group with Lara Pfeifer and Maximilian Figl, while in the U14 girls Anna Santa defeated Arianna Amaduzzi from TC Meran in the final. The boys' competition was won by Nicolò Toffanin, who was able to hold his own against Stefano Pinzan.

Anna Katharina Palla from Kaltern defeated Julia Peer in the U12 category, her cousin Lukas Palla won against Manuel Pavia from Lana in the boys of the same age category. In the U11, Jonas Masten from Meran, like last year, beat Kilian Dallapiazza. Katharina Unterthurner won the Passeir U11 girls final against her teammate Greta Gufler. Laura Pecoraro, on the other hand, is the new U10 national champion. For the boys, the two USSA players Daniel Lechner and Christian Bacher will contest the final.

Rizzi and Viertler from TC Meran U16 national champions The local heroes from TC Meran dominated the U16 age group: Matteo Rizzi clearly beat Jonas Greif 6:0, 6:2 for the boys. Marion Viertler had a little more trouble. She brought Greta Zwerger from TC Brixen to her knees in three sets 6:1, 4:6, 6:2.

The new national champions as well as the U12 and U16 finalists also secured their ticket to the Italian championship. The doubles were also played in Meran. Matteo Rizzi/Daniel Botti prevailed against Jonas Greif/Maximilian Figl in the U16, while Christian Fellin/Stefano Pinzan (U12-U14) prevailed against Jonas Masten/Daniel Theiner. The only women's doubles (U12-U14) was won by Anna Costaperaria/Franziska Daum against Nicole Gagliardi/Caterina Benedetti.

After the unofficial Serie C national championship title, the women of TC Rungg also won the regional playoff against ATA Battisti Trient in Trento on Sunday and qualified for the Italian championship with this victory.
