Rungger players dominate home tournament

Like a week ago in Tramin, Massimo Bertolini from Verona was at the top in Rungg. In the final, the tennis teacher from TC Rungg clearly prevailed against his teammate Thomas Thaler from Terlan 6:4, 6:1. Bertolini eliminated Benjamin Lantschner in the semifinals, while the 16-year-old Thaler was able to hold his own against Benjamin Rossi from Paulsen.

The women's victory also went to TC Rungg. Simone Kraner, also a trainer in Rungg and number 3 on the seed list, met favorite Lara Pfeifer in the final. The U13 national champion from Deutschnofen narrowly defeated Karin Viertler in three sets 6:4, 2:6, 7:5 in the semifinals. Kraner easily eliminated number 2 seed Tamara Berger 6:2, 6:2 in the second semifinal . Kraner also showed a strong performance in the final and won a hard-fought match 3:6, 6:3, 6:4.

Miguel Agnolin wins 4th category tournament

The 4th category tournament was also held in Rungg. The victory here went to Miguel Agnolin. The 4.2 player from ATC Neumarkt eliminated Lorenzo Predi from TC Rungg 6:1, 3:6, 6:4 in the semifinals and then defeated the next local hero, Klemens Weinreich, in three sets 3:6, 7 in the final: 6, 6:3.

136 players took part in the Raiffeisen Grand Prix tournament in the 3rd and 4th categories in Rungg. In Überetsch there was a double victory for the hosts: ex-professional Massimo Bertolini won the men's event, while Simone Kraner prevailed in the women's event.
