Rungger teams play big in the A2 series

The Rungger men's team built on their 5-1 opening win against Match Ball Firenze and clearly brought TC Treviglio to their knees 6-0 at home on Sunday. The match was already decided after the four individual encounters: The German Elmar Ejupovic, the two Völsers Georg Winkler and Moirtz Trocker as well as Marco Bortolotti all celebrated victories. Ejupovic/Trocker and Bortolotti/Sebastian Brzezinski then also won their doubles matches.

Women celebrate their first victory Coach Manuel Gasbarri's women's team, however, celebrated its first victory in Serie A2. The wrestlers, who drew 2-2 against co-favorites Cagliari last weekend, won 4-0 away in Turin at Circolo Sporting B today and didn't drop a single set. Verena Meliss from Kalter and Martina Spigarelli promptly set the course for victory, Lara Pfeifer from Deutschnofen celebrated a 2:6, 4:7 win on her Serie A5 debut against Alessia Camerano. Meliss/Spigarelli made it 4-0 against Fornasieri/Gardella. In a week the Überetscher women will continue at CT Ceriano, the men's troupe will be guests in Vicenza.
