Seppi fails in the first round

In the first set Seppi was able to compete with the difficult conditions not friendly at all. Korda's precise punches got the Kalterer into big trouble, and he himself made one or two mistakes. With the score at 1:2, Seppi had to accept the first break of the game and had two chances to counter-break in the next game, but didn't take advantage of it. So the Kalterer player ran after a 1:4 deficit. In the last game, Korda managed to make a perfect break on the wet sand without losing any points and deservedly secured the first set. As a result, both served their serves, which meant that Seppi got his first set point - and used it straight away. The third set was once again forgettable for the Kalter veteran. Korda immediately took a 3-0 lead and put Seppi under pressure. Seppi got back to 4:3, but then received a counter break to make it 5:3. Korda didn't allow anything in the next service game and brought the third set to a close. Korda with back problems Before the start of the fourth set, Korda had to have his back treated and appeared visibly injured. Seppi tried to benefit from this and succeeded. He quickly took a 3-1 lead, but then the Kalterer made a few mistakes too many. Korda then found his way back into the game, managed two breaks in a row and took the 4:3 lead. Reinvigorated by the lucky turn of events, the 20-year-old didn't let Seppi get any further and converted his second match point. Seppi fails in the first round

In partly strong wind and rain, Andreas Seppi was eliminated in the first round of the French Open against the American Sebastian Korda 2:6, 6:4, 3:6, 3:6.
