Serie C begins with home wins for Meran, Bruneck and Rungg

In district A, Meran had no trouble against Kaltern. Only Lukas Holzer (2.6) had to admit defeat to Filippo Ghidetti (2.5) 3:6, 4:6. Mattia and Jacopo Agosti, Nicola Rispoli and the two Merano doubles then secured the 5-1 victory without losing a single set. In the second game, Rungg beat St. Christina 4-2. This match had to be postponed several times due to rain.

In district B, however, the match between Bruneck and Brixen was fiercely contested. In the six games played, a total of seven sets were only decided in a tiebreak. In the end, the Pusterers were ahead thanks to the better doubles. Bruneck won 4:2.

However, the encounter between defending champion Lana and TC Bozen ended in a 2-2 draw. The surprise of the day came from 3.3 player Laura Dell'Angelo. The woman from Bolzano defeated Katja Lochmann (2.8) 6:1, 6:4.
