Series C: Good draw for Rungger men and women

The two South Tyrolean teams from TC Rungg were seeded and each received a bye in the first round. In the second, decisive round, the men's national champion Rungg will host the winner of the game between Livorno and Contrada Cavalli on Sunday, June 25th, while the Rungger women will have to play against CUS Catania or Torres Tennis Bozzo, also away.

After seven years, the Rungger men were crowned national champions for the second time this year thanks to a clear 4-0 win in the final against St. Georgen. Manuel Gasbarri's team will now face TC Livorno or Contrada Cavalli away from home in the decisive round of the national final phase, who will face each other in Livorno on June 18th. Rungg will play against the winner a week later for promotion to Serie B.

In the women's category, however, TC Rungg defended its regional championship title from last year. The team of Susan Bandecchi and Verena Meliss is also already in the second round of the national finals and will be guests at CUS Catania or Torres Tennis Bozzo on June 25th. The Überetscher women go into this game as favorites.
