Serie C: Good draw for Val Gardena and Bolzano

In the first round, the men's national champion Val Gardena will face Verde Lauro Fiorito away on Sunday, June 23rd, while the Bolzano women will face Tortoreto, also away.

After 4 years, the Val Gardena men were crowned national champions for the second time this year thanks to a 4:3 win in the final against Rungg. Now Patric Prinoth & Co. will meet Verde Lauro Fiorito away in Turin in the first round of the national final phase. The game is played on clay, the Turin team's top players are the 2 players Andrea Turco, Gianluca Marino and Andrea Cardella. The winner of this duel will play against Levico for promotion to Serie B a week later, on June 1th.

For the women, however, the TC Municipality of Bozen secured the regional championship title in Rovereto two weeks ago. The team of Silvia Saccani and Gabriella Polito will also take part in the national final phase in the first round, where they will be guests at CT Tortoreto. The club from Teramo has a very balanced squad, just like the Bolzano team, who go into the match as slight favorites.

Serie C: Good draw for Val Gardena and Bolzano

The national final phase of Serie C was drawn at the headquarters of the Italian Tennis Federation in Rome on Tuesday afternoon. The two South Tyrolean teams TC Gherdeina and TC Gemeinde Bozen are also there.
