Sinner inspires the sports world: “A role model for young people”

The man from Sexten became the youngest player to win a title on the ATP tour in over 12 years. The last time a tournament winner at ATP level was younger than Sinner was in February 2008: the Japanese Kei Nishikori won in Delray Beach as an 18-year-old. At 19 years, 2 months and 29 days, Sinner was the youngest tennis player from Italy to ever make it to a final.

After winning the tournament, the media's enthusiasm knew no bounds: “Jannik Sinner did it.
