Sinner and Seppi in Australia: The plans for the start of the year

The new tennis year is just around the corner. And South Tyrol's athletes of the year Jannik Sinner and Andreas Seppi have already arrived in Australia.

For the 20-year-old from Sexten, who ended 2021 in tenth place in the top ten, the New Year is about taking the next step. “Jannik can beat the really big guys, he’s just not as good as them yet. But he is better than Hubert Hurkacz and Casper Ruud, who are still ahead of him in the world rankings,” said coach Riccardo Piatti in an interview with Gazzetta dello Sport before departing for Australia on St. Stephen’s Day.
