The 18-year-old redhead gained 18 places compared to last week. Sinner is now in 78th place in the ATP world rankings, which is still led by Spaniard Rafael Nadal. By the way: Sinner is the successor to Tsitsipas at the Next Gen Finals, because a year ago the then 20-year-old Greek triumphed at the junior finals in Milan.

Andreas Seppi, the best South Tyrolean tennis player for years, is six places ahead of Sinner. The Kalterer has also made up a place and is currently 71st in the world rankings. The best Italian in the ATP ranking is Matteo Berrettini (ATP 8), followed by Fabio Fognini (ATP 12).
