St.Christina-Wolkenstein and the municipality of Bozen win Serie C

Actually, the national championship title is no longer officially awarded, but there was still great joy on Sunday in Wolkenstein and Bozen. The Val Gardena club St. Christina-Wolkenstein didn't drop a single set in the final against TC Rungg today and swept the Überetscher team off the pitch 4-0. The Val Gardena team had already dispatched TC Meran 4-0 in the semi-finals. In fact, they only lost one game out of a total of 26 in this year's championship. Team captain Stefano Bassetto follows last year's winner Bruneck on the Serie C honor roll. Patric Prinoth, David Kostner, Michael Kerschbaumer, Erwin Tröbinger and Jonas Ciechi also qualify for the main draw of the Italian Championship by winning the title. However, St. Georgen won the play-out final against relegation to Serie D1 away in Brixen with 4-2 points. The Pusterers were already leading 3-1 after the individual matches, the fourth, decisive point was scored by the doubles Matteo Rigamonti/Matthias Galeazzi.

Second title for the TC Municipality of Bozen For the women, the defending champion municipality of Bozen could have even afforded a 1-3 defeat in the away game against Meran. The Bolzano team with Veronika Sepp, Claudia Marini and Sylvia Mairhofer didn't let anything go wrong, won 3-1 and won their second championship title in a row. SV Lana was already confirmed to be relegated to Serie D1 before today's matchday.

St.Christina-Wolkenstein and the municipality of Bozen win Serie C

The TC St. Christina-Wolkenstein for men and the TC Gemeinde Bozen for women are the Serie C national champions 2015. For the Val Gardena it is the first title in the club's history, while the Bolzano women repeated their success from the previous year.
