Fellin and Moling win the Brixen spring tournament

Christian Fellin, the cousin of professional tennis player Manfred Fellin (ATP 1551), clearly defeated the 3.2 player from Meran, Daniel Botti, 6:2, 6:0 in the semifinals and met number 2 of the tournament, Alexander, in the final Hornof. The Brixen native also effortlessly eliminated Daniele Mezzanotte from ATC Tramin 6:3, 6:1 in the second semi-final. In the “Derby”, however, the 14-year-old Christian Fellin emerged as the winner, who was able to assert himself 2:35, 4:6, 6:4 in an exciting match despite being down a set after 7:5 hours of play. For Fellin, who lives and trains in Seefeld, it is the first victory in South Tyrol after he failed in the final in Vipiteno to Hannes Christanell last year.

There was also no surprise winner among the women with Luianta Moling (3.2). The 18-year-old from Kaltern, who won the title in Brixen last year, defeated local hero Greta Zwerger in two tiebreaks 7:6, 7:6 in the semifinals. In the final, Moling met Valentina Eccel Trappolin from Bolzano, who surprisingly knocked number 1 seed Tamara Berger from Bruneck out of the tournament 6:1, 6:3. Eccel defeated Moling in the final of Lana last year, this time the Caldaro native took revenge with a confident 6:3, 6:0 victory.

Harald Salcher and Sarah Kofler win the 4th category tournament A 4th category tournament also took place in Brixen. In the men's category, Harald Salcher took the win: The player from ASV Vahrn prevailed in the final against Georg Forcher 6:4, 6:2, while in the women's race, Sarah Kofler from Schlanders defeated Giorgia Dalle Grave 6:4, 6: 4 could defeat.

Fellin and Moling win the Brixen spring tournament

Over 130 players took part in the traditional spring tournament in Brixen. Local hero Christian Fellin and Luianta Moling from Kaltern prevailed in the third category, while Harald Salcher and Sarah Kofler were able to assert themselves in the fourth category.
