Series C begins in eleven days

For men, the first two teams in Groups A and B qualify for the semi-finals on May 6th. The final will take place on May 13th. The remaining four teams play to stay in the league, the last placed team is relegated to the D1 series.

The favorites include St. Georgen, St. Christina-Wolkenstein and TC Meran A, which have three very balanced and strong teams. Last year, St. Georgen had to admit defeat to TC Rungg in the final, while Val Gardena was already eliminated in the semi-finals against Pusterer. TC Meran, which was surprisingly crowned national champion two seasons ago, has strengthened itself considerably this year and will try to fight for the title. The Kurstadt team signed players such as the 2.4 Robin Peter Peham from Austria and the German Henry Zick (2.5).

The women's group, on the other hand, is very balanced. There are no bad teams, the top favorite is St. Georgen, which has three strong players in tennis professional Verena Hofer from St. Ulrich, Gabriella Polito and Jeannine Hopfgartner. Vera Ploner is also registered, but she is studying in the USA. But all the other teams should not be underestimated either. The six registered teams all play against each other, and the new national champions will be determined on May 13th.

Series C begins in eleven days

Series B begins this weekend with TC Bozen and the two Rungger teams, and a week later, on April 22nd, the Series C tennis team championship also starts. Eight South Tyrolean men's teams and six women's teams are taking part.
