ITF Bozen: Alexander Weis eliminated in the first round

In the first set, Alexander Weis managed an early break, the Brazilian countered with a rebreak when the score was 3:1, and then equalized to 4:4. In the second set, Weis turned the game around when the score was 0:2 and made short work of a 6:2. In the decisive third set, Weis fell behind right from the start, but then equalized with the rebreak. In the end, the Brazilian pulled away in the hard-fought game and won 2:32, 5:7 and 6:2 after 2:6 hours. Sorgi's opponent in the second round has not yet been determined.

In doubles, Patrick Prader/Davide Tortora were eliminated in two sets against Riccardo Balzerani/Mattia Frinzi (3:6, 1:6). The duo Patric Prinoth/Edoardo Lavagno also had to admit defeat to Enrico Dalla Valle/Giovanni Fonio 6:1, 0:6, 14:16.

On Tuesday, Joy Vigani from Brixen will meet Jose Pereira (BRA), while Horst Rieder from Völs will play against Tobias Simon from Germany. If Vigani wins the game, he will face Alexander Weis in the second round.
